Ⅰ.考試性質

普通高等學校本科插班生招生考試是由專科畢業(yè)生參加的選拔性考試。高等學校根據(jù)考生的成績,按已確定的招生計劃,德、智、體全面衡量,擇優(yōu)錄取。該考試所包含的內容將大致穩(wěn)定,試題形式多種,具有對學生把握本課程程度的較強識別、區(qū)分能力。

Ⅱ.考試內容及要求

一、考試基本要求

重點考核學生綜合運用各項英語語言基礎知識和語言運用能力,以及學生對語法結構和詞匯用法的掌握程度,檢查學生是否達到了《高等學校英語專業(yè)英語教學大綱》所規(guī)定的各項英語專業(yè)綜合技能的基本要求,既測試學生的綜合能力及知識面,也測試學生的單項技能。

二、考核知識點及考核要求

本大綱的考核要求分為“識記”、“領會”、“應用”三個層次,具體含義是:

識記:能解釋有關的概念、知識的含義,并能正確認識和表達。

領會:在識記的基礎上,能全面把握基本概念、基本原理、基本方法,能掌握有關概念、原理、方法的區(qū)別與聯(lián)系。

應用:在理解的基礎上,能運用基本概念、基本理論、基本方法分析和解決有關的理論問題和實際問題。

專題一 選擇填空(Vocabulary and Structure)

一、考核知識點

考核考生掌握詞匯、短語及基本語法概念的熟練程度。

二、考核要求

掌握《高等學校英語專業(yè)英語教學大綱》規(guī)定的基礎階段認知詞匯,能正確、熟練地運用其中的3000個核心詞匯;了解和掌握英語的基本構詞規(guī)則。掌握并能正確運用《高等學校英語專業(yè)英語教學大綱》規(guī)定的一至四級語法內容;掌握基本的語法規(guī)則,掌握基本的英語句子結構,能較熟練地運用語法及句子結構知識等。

專題二 完型填空(Cloze)

一、考核知識點

考核考生的綜合語言知識和技能。

二、考核要求

能在全面理解所給短文內容的基礎上,選擇一個最佳答案使短文意思和結構恢復完整。

專題三 閱讀理解(Reading Comprehension)

一、考核知識點

考核考生的綜合語言知識和技能。

二、考核要求

能在全面理解所給短文內容的基礎上,從四個選項中選擇一個符合要求的最佳答案。

專題四 英英解釋(Paraphrase)

一、考核知識點

考生在理解原句的基礎上,對句中劃線的部分進行解釋或改述。

二、考核要求

能在全面理解所給句子的基礎上,用其它英語詞匯或短語釋義原句中劃線的部分,并做到意思和結構完整,符合語法要求。

專題五 漢譯英(Translation from Chinese into English)

一、考核知識點

考核考生漢譯英的翻譯能力。

二、考核要求

掌握初步的漢譯英的翻譯知識和技巧,能進行中等難度句子翻譯。譯文力爭做到能用正確的英語表達方式表達,忠實原意,語言通順、流暢,無重大語法錯誤。

專題六 英譯漢 (Translation from English into Chinese)

一、考核知識點

考核考生英譯漢的翻譯能力。

二、考核要求

掌握基本的英譯漢翻譯知識和技巧,能進行中等難度的段落翻譯。漢語譯文力爭做到忠實原意,語言通順、流暢。

Ⅲ.考試形式及試卷結構

1.考試形式為閉卷,筆試,考試時間為120分鐘,試卷滿分為100分。

2.試卷內容比例:第一專題占15%,第二專題占15%,第三專題占20%,第四專題占10%,第五專題占20%,第四專題占20%。

3.試卷題型比例:Vocabulary and Structure 15%, Cloze 15%, Reading Comprehension 20%, Paraphrase 10%, Translation from Chinese into English 20%, Translation from English into Chinese 20%。

4.試卷難易比例:易、中、難分別為30%,50%,20%。

Part III. Reading Comprehension(20%) (10*2=20 points)

Directions: There are 2 passages in this part. Each passage is followed by some questions or statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A, B, C and D. We find that bright children are rarely held back by mixed-ability, teaching. On the contrary, both their knowledge and experience are enriched. We feel that there are many disadvantages in streaming pupils. It does not take into account the fact that children develop at different rates. It can have a bad effect on both the bright and the not-so-bright child. After all, it can be quite discouraging to be at the bottom of the top grade!

Besides, it is rather unreal to grade people just according to their intellectual ability. This is only one aspect of their total personality. We are concerned to develop the abilities of all our pupils to the full, not just their academic ability. We also value personal qualities and social skills, and we find that mixed-ability teaching contributes to all these aspects of learning.

In our classrooms, we work in various ways. The pupils often work in groups: this gives them the opportunity to learn to co-operate, to share, and to develop leadership skills. They also learn how to cope with personal problems as well as learning how to think, to make decisions, to analyze and evaluate, and to communicate effectively. The pupils learn from each other as well as from the teacher.

Sometimes the pupils work in pairs; sometimes they work on individual tasks and assignments, and they can do this at their own speed. They also have some formal class teaching when this is appropriate. We encourage our pupils to use the library, and we teach them the skills they need in order to do this efficiently. An advanced pupil can do advanced work: it does not matter what age the child is. We expect our pupils to do their best, not their least, and we give them every encouragement to attain this goal.

Part VI Translation(段落翻譯-英譯漢)(20%)(1*20points=20 points)

Directions: The following is an English paragraph. Translate it into Chinese. Please write down your answers on the Answer Sheet.

An important factor in a market-oriented economy is that mechanism by which consumer demands can be expressed and responded to by producers. In the American economy, this mechanism is provided by a price system, a process in which prices rise and fall in response to relative demands of consumers and supplies offered by seller-producers. If the product is in short supply relative to the demand, the price will be bid up and some consumers will be eliminated from the market. If, on the other hand, producing more of a commodity results in reducing its cost, this will tend to increase the supply offered by seller-producers, which in turn will lower the price and permit more consumers to buy the product.
